Jeff Wagner has been a resident of Pasadena for nearly 25 years; he was born and raised in nearby Galena Park, TX. During high school he worked here in Pasadena off Spencer, after school, weekends, and summers. Upon graduation from Galena Park High School, Jeff immediately embarked on a career in law enforcement as the youngest Galena Park Police Reserve Officer in the history of the department to date; he was 18 years old. Roughly one year later, Jeff joined the Houston Police Department.
Over the past three decades, Jeff’s passion to protect and serve has earned him multiple honors and achievements. Recognition has ranged from Space Center Rotary Club Distinguished Service Award to the American Police Hall of Fame Achievement’s Criminal Investigation Award. These accomplishments, coupled with both the Houston Police Officer’s Union and the 100 Club of Houston each naming Jeff Wagner “Officer of the Year” and television station, ABC Channel 13 KTRK, Officer of the Month, among other departmental commendations have all been a reflection of his unwavering dedication and integrity.
He’s an elected member of the Houston Police Officer’s Union Board, representing over 5,000 members, which is the largest Police Union in Texas. Jeff Wagner served on Pasadena’s City Crime Control Board for two terms before being elected to City Council. Jeff is also a Lifetime Member of the Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo.
Seeking an affordable, well balanced town with neighborhoods that residents can be proud of is what led him to Pasadena nearly 25 years ago. Since then, he married his wife, Ginny and together raised two daughters they couldn’t be prouder of. Jeff and Ginny now have a grandson and granddaughter.
